How can you become a youth player with Al Ettifaq?
This is a question for many children. All players of the Al Ettifaq-Youth-Teams ,will be selected by a Scouting-team within 50 Kilometres radius around Dammam . The earlier the age of selected players, the better the chance for selection on the competitive teams as the skill, philosophy and commitment will be developed.
For this reason we are offering twice a month an open day for U7 and U8 players on our club field with introduction in “ how we are working with kids in a session" to show and also to see the youngest talented players from our region in a practice situation to pick up our future first team players.
Our Criteria of choosing our players
The coach of U8 and U7 will look after the physical development, while players need to show a desire and willingness to learn. Mental and physical development is as important as independence and self confidence.
It is expected that the players always give their best in every training session and every game.
Parents need to agree that their child belongs in this type of program, which will be beneficial for the child, the team, the club and the family.

Support Concept
Within the youth department of Al Ettifag, most players must attend school or work in addition to playing soccer. The Club understands that we must take care of the financial needs of the players in order for them to achieve success not only in the sport of soccer, but in their personal life. For this purpose, an individual career plan is created for each player, which takes into account all areas of assistance (school, training, service, medicine, sports psychology, Housing, Integration and Social Affairs). There is a constant exchange between those responsible for the individual areas of support and the trainers or athletic managers.
Medical Sector
The medical staff who support the First team are available to support players in the youth programs which is a definite advantage for immediate rehabilitation when an injury occurs. the therapy room offers electrotherapy and thermotherapy. In addition to the "maintenance" or injury-related treatment of the players the medical Department takes all measures, to obtain a good overview of the physical development of each individual player. stationary tape, a digital scale and a body fat meter are available.
The Competition
In match practices, the formation of specific behaviours are targeted, such as switching movments, the counter attack game or learning to press. Our youth teams have been very successful in these areas competing with other big clubs in Saudi Arabia. international tournaments and friendly matches are a priority for the future development of the player .
Game Operation
Competitive games at a high level are an important part of the training concept from Al Ettifaq. He special attention is paid to the game operation in the Premier League (U19), the Premier League (U17 and U15), the U14 Junior Youth-Cup, the Cup and League (U9- U13), the circle game mode (U8) and friendlies against powerful opponents.
Tournament mode (future requirement)
Of paramount importance are the well-staffed national field and indoor tournaments and tournament trips abroad. These trips support the sporting development of the player, and knowledge of other cultures. Furthermore, the individual players and teams become ambassadors of the Association.
